1 Attachment(s)
Just received a chinese tool which could be useful

My best guess is that it is a SecuROM hider for DAEMON Tools but my chinese is not that good (don't know any...)

The author is: duskymagus

(Bad) Translation from: http://games.sina.com.cn/downgames/t...32492871.shtml

"Simulates Securom" to register the table tool
Explained:
The Securom pattern game may by daemon the tools smooth simulation registration table small tool

Maybe someone else knows more about this tool

The sender of this tool tells that it can be used for Civilization IV, but this protected with SD4.60... so not sure how it could work but it could be an universal hider for SecuROM & SafeDisc

Hi, I reversed it a little bit. It deletes and changes a lot of registry entries which are used by Securom and SafeDisc for checking if Emulation Software is active.

It works for Safedisc 4.6 because it removes the scsi key like SafeDisc 4 Hider does. It also seems to Hide Alcohol.

Now how it works:
If you click on Yes the registry keys for Emulation Detection are deleted. If you start the app again and press no all registry keys will be restored. It works like Sc7/stop, Safedisc 4 Hider or Antiblaxx.

Warning! Do Not Use!

Do not use it! I tried it and after a reboot my whole registry was gone! I had to recover my system! So again: DO NOT USE IT
My system is XP Pro SP 2!

Or, better - for a lazy guy like me, have a tool which makes automatic a backup at every change . . . puh
