what is a .cdi and uther problems (newbe)
 

ok ferst iv looked round and cant find the info i need.

ok what is a .cdi file (im on a mac osx/os9) is it an iso? or do i just bern it as the single file?

ok iv got a nice new power book a mac laptop its got cd/dvd berner bilet in and i use toast 6 to bern cd/dvd's that's all iv got to work with till i go back to uni then my frend has a nice pc which i can use but i dont want to wait.

i think my dream cast can play back-up's becuase it playes half life and a back up of skyes of acadear but i tryed to make a utopear boot-cd but all that hapend was my dream cast showerd a black scren for a second then went back to the logo.

can you help?

CDI is a standard Disc Juggler image file. You can burn it in Disc Juggler or Alcohol 120% or mount the image in Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% and make a copy for eg in Nero but i dont even saw MAC so i dont know is there any burning app for cdi images :/ Ask on DCForums.net

i think iv figered out how to bern games i get the .cdi and pput it in cdirip062 that makes an .iso and i bern that of as an image on toast but the games i have all seam to be ntsc and im on pal so ...

will the utopia boot-cd let me use non pal games?

It is not important. you can play almost all ntsc backups on your pal dc. Only few ntsc games (with pal protection) need to be patched using pal patcher.
