A bit lost....
Hey
I'm pretty new with all the psp stuff, and dont know too much about what all the treads are talking about. i have psp v1.50 and have downloaded the KXploit program and read the totorial but i have know idea what its talking about. whats a .PBP file? How would i get an emulator (Visual Boy Advance) to run with my psp. Where are we as far as having a method to back up UMD's? Is it possible to play PSP games any other way other than just putting in the disc and playing the original? these are just a few of the many questions i have, but maybe someone can help me out with it, and just give me a kinda ovreview of where the world is at with the PSP. thanks in advance for any help gemini 413 |
1. Go to www.pspupdates.com for much info on the PSP...
2. A .PBP file is a type of program file (such as Homebrew etc.). The PBP File is the file that is launched to run a program. In most cases the PBP is the whole programm itself. (Think about it just like an .EXE file) 3. You need emulators written for the PSP. Go get them at www.PSPUPDATES.com / There are many tutorials that will tell you how to run an emulator... (but its really damn easy!) 4. There is a program out that makes a "dump" of your UMD Disk. 5. There is a way to play Lumines (without sound). More to come... Have to check the news tho... Its just days till a real "launcher" for the UMD Backups will come out! For any other questions just ask! :D (Oh jeah... and again: Excuse my bad english) |
and for number 5
they fixed the no sound and other games are coded arms, puzzle bobble, and mercury and no u cant ask where to get it |
My backup of puzzle bobble hangs at the Please Wait screen when I try to run it off the memory stick?
I am pretty sure my file structures on the disk is right, because it won't even get to the launch screen if the files aren't in the right spot. Any ideas? |
This is Piracy talk. We cannot not advise on such topics.

What in the hell are you talking about? I want to be able to play my backups on my PSP, have multiple games when I'm going out without having to bring all my original UMD disks....
This is the same thing we talk about when we back-up original PS2 games on DVD's and get them to run via mod-chips. I have a UMD ripper and have backed up my games, now I need to figure out how to get them to run properly. |
Totally agreed. Nothing illegal at this point!

The loader is legal so long as it was built from scratch or taken from a game I legally own. And for the sake of this conversation I just so happen to own a copy of every single PSP game available on the market and I've pre-ordered all the rest.
Btw there is no reason for you to pretend your a moderator as there already is a strong team of experienced mods keeping this site on lockdown. |
And again... totally agreed!
The (real) Mods would kick our asses if we would post illegal **** on here... :D |

yea dont worry
id get ya if u talk about illegal stuff so basically no iso's u must rip the game urself and for loaders u can talk about em and stuff but no asking where to get them or hinting at least on the boards |
Thanks Ax, now back to my original question, how do I get everything to run without freezing at the loading screen?
|
I don't know about Puzzle Bobble but I got Wipeout pure to run off the MS with Twisted metal Head on in the drive....
Do you have any original Game UMD in the drive when you are trying to boot Puzzle Bobble?? I believe that Lumines is the only game you can run off the MS without a substitute game in the UMD Slot. Edit: Wipeout Pure does hang at the loading screen if there is no UMD in the drive....maybe this is your problem too. |
That sounds like the problem, thanks.
