Rid**** Escape from Butcher Bay 1.1 patch
 

Hi everyone

I having trouble to update my Rid**** EFBB Developer's Cut DVD version (Hoodlum release) to version 1.1 with the official patch (rid****_v11.exe). :mad:

I simply cannot apply the patch, due to an error message

'PATCH ERROR' Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match. :confused:

I did not use a no-cd fix after the installation, because i know some issues can arise patching fixed games, with no-cd fixes. My intention was to use the 1.1 no-cd fix, after updating the game, but i can't update it. :(

I'm using Daemon Tools to load the iso. Is there a fixed 1.1 patch? or there is some kind of trick to do it (maybe it is a copy-protection issue?) :rolleyes:

Install the game from your Original DVD/CD !!!
Do you have the original DVD/CD?

I don't think he has an original cd ;)

it seems that in this forum the peolpe are not wiling to help.

the same problem happened to me 2 weeks ago, i aplied the patch and it gave me the same error. here is what happened, i had an english uk version of the game, not the engish usa game, so you have to apply thje correct patch.

rid****_update_en_10_11.exe
rid****_update_eu_10_11.exe

i think you tried the first one, and i think that the second one is the correct patch.

try and tell me.

Why you're thinking Kyle's question isn't a pirate question? He/She was clearly telling that he(she has a Warez Release of the game.
We are willing to help, but only if the members are willing to read and understand the board rules.
