mini-CDs? No-CD Cracks? What? (MVP Baseball 2005)

First off, excuse my newbie-sh speaking here.

I would like to explain my problem, hopefully someone will help me out here.

I recently installed MVP Baseball 2005. I also overwrite the original .exe with hoodlem's crack .exe. Whenever I finish a game in owner mode, the game crashes.

Fine.

So after doing a google search, I run into this great resource site. I do some forum searching, and I run into this thread:
http://fileforums.com/showthread.php...=Baseball+2005

I would like to focus on the following post:

2. Use the cd 2 image found on gamecopy world, do not replace the original .exe or the game will crash. The hoodlum crack will crash the game on owner mode.

Hope this helps, thank you for making the cd 2 image

Now, this is when my newbie mindset kicks in... Do what?

I completly did #1, and it did not work at all. Un-installed the game, re-installed, and then patched it with MVP Baseball 2005 Patch #2.

Number 2 is where I am stuck at. What do I do? I assumed what it is asking me to do is use the CD2 image on the gamecopy world web site instead of the hoodlum CD2, and installation didn't recognise (sp?) the CD2 I downloaded from GCW. I also mounted it to a virtual disc using Daeman Tools and Alcohol 120%, and that did not work either.

Timeline went along the line of....
Installed Hoomlem verion of MVP Baseball 2005.
Installed Hoolem Crack
Opened MVP Baseball 2005
MVP Baseball 2005 crashes after playing an owner mode game.
Un-installed MVP Baseball 2005
Re-installed MVP Baseball 2005, did not install Hoodlem crack
Get "Insert CD in order to play" dialogue, entered in CD2, will not open game.
Mounted CD2 from http://dl.gamecopyworld.com/?d=2005&f=MVP2005_MI!rar to virtual drive.
Still get "Insert CD in order to play" dialogue
Burns CD2 to CD-R disc
Un-installs MVP Baseball 2005
Attempts to Install MVP Baseball 2005 using newly-burned CD2 disc from http://dl.gamecopyworld.com/?d=2005&f=MVP2005_MI!rar. Install wouldn't recognise disc.
**Where we are now**

Thank you for your help in advanced!

I don't get it; why don't you try your original CD first? If that doesn't work either, there's something wrong with your PC, hardware or software! (By the way, the correct name for the cracker group is "Hoodlum"...)

I simply can not get the cd image from gamecopyworld to work at ALL. Every time MVP says "Virtual drive detected, please disable"... It really stinks. Why did no one ocme out with a 1.2 patch? Especially since 1.3 is out now.

ALcohol 120

th problem is that the prtective feature in the game have detected a virtual drive

The best option is to remove any virtual drives created and uninstall the image loader software you are using

Then you can install Alcohol 120% and use it to load images, You have to enable an option called "Hide Virtual or Writable Drives" or similar

Good luck

Hi there,
First off, where did you get this from?
Anyway, the correct method is:
You have burned the CD2 image from GCW to a CDR, right?
Don't do this, as it won't work :(
What you need to do is to download Alcohol 120% (www.alcohol-soft.com) or DaemonTools (www.daemon-tools.cc) and mount this image in the virtual drive.

((You may have noticed that the images are only about 2mbs- This is because they should not be burnt, but mounted in a virtual drive))

Hopefully this should work :)

If not, we need to get a little more technical- During the install of DaemonTools, you will be asked if you want to change the driver names. To this, select yes & choose a random name. It is also possible to use AntiBlaxx (Sorry, I don't know the site).

where could i find this enable option to hide drives

In which vd do you mount the Game?

Possible that you've to many virtual-drive programs on your pc.

One is more than enough - if you've only dt it should work.

Be sure to delete the registry entries of other vd-progs.

i mount the game in alcohol 120.

I used to have dt but when the images stopped working i uninstalled it, and installed alcohol.

how do you delete registry entries of other drives
