Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

Looks like we better get ready for an onslaught of requests for a no/cd crack for this one but alas it is StarForce 3.4.71.19. Looks like ubi have gone starforce

DABhand 30-03-2005 05:12

So technically this is spam like my reply?

Yummy Sprinkles 30-03-2005 05:12

Well, the one upside to more games using Starforce, and especially with a mainstream uber-title like SC3, is that it'll give the crackers more opportunities to mess around with Starforce and figure out all it's intricacies.

Give it a couple of months and Starforce will become another Securom or Safedisc - crackable in a weekend and faster turnarounds on No-CD patches.

Well SecureRom v7 seems to be a challenge (not that I would know) . The only game that uses it so far is Act of War I think and it hasn't been cracked yet.

There is a NoDVD crack on GameCopyWorld for ACT OF WAR !!!

dantivirus 30-03-2005 23:38

Yes but AOW used the old Safedisk then they switched to SD7 on their first patch.

Thought you can easily get around it with a small registry change.

Megaschwanz 31-03-2005 11:12

Now I know the reason for the missing 1b no cd crack. Aaargh !!
Anyone testet the no cd crack for Act of War 1.0 german ???

Da.Schneida 31-03-2005 11:53

Yes, I did and it doesn't work. Although it seems to get past the disc scan, it stops loading the game shortly afterwards.

You know I was reading the Atari forums and one guy emailed to securom because AoW wouldn't run right on his drive. They(Securom) actually made a modified EXE just for him and the the guy can play AoW. That was so sweet!

Chunter 01-04-2005 10:26

Go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Then SYSTEM
Look for a listing that says MountedDevices
Right click and choose PERMISSIONS
Highlight Administrators on the top box then look for the listing on the bottom box that says READ.
Now place a check mark in the DENY box on the READ line.
Hit APPLY, then OK and you're done.

Works for Project: Snowblind no problem and it uses SR7. What is does is deny Safedisk access to the CD/DVD to verify, so SD assumes your copy is legit and the game starts.

Just remember to always make a backup of your registry before making any changes. I have not had one single issue.

Sorry this works if you have backup or image of your game in your CD/DVD drive or virutal Drive. Forgot about that.

I made a basic dvd rup and then burn in Alcohol. And according Splinter Cell 3 protection, it told me that the cdkey was incorrect. Maybe a different cdkey might work?

I'm a copyprotection noob, so don't laugh too much at me :D

DABhand 04-04-2005 13:07

Your retail cd-key didnt work?
