Star Wars: KOTOR2 Game Problem NEED HELP PLEASE
 

After I leave the so called jedi academy on Telos, it will play the cut-scene where Atris is talking to a student saying that she went with the exile. After that is over it cuts to me on the ebon hawk, but everything is black, I tried exiting then going back but that does nothing, and I tried going to the main menu and going back but that solves nothing either. If anyone knows a way to fix this it will be much appreciated.

1. Update your game! (Yes there is already a patch out!)
2. Try the newest graphic drivers!

The quick and dirty workaround is to change ur detail level (low/med/high) and back again.

If you have an ATI card then there is a permanent fix since the newest ATI drivers' OpenGL don't like KOTOR2.
What you do is:

• get the 4.11 exe and open it with winzip
• get a file called atioglxx.dl_
• use the command prompt to type "expand atioglxx.dl_ atioglxx.dll" OR just open it with winzip also.
• take the resulting atioglxx.dll and put it in your kotor2 folder

this makes the game use the 4.11 openGL drivers.
It was a big thing for fixing the slowdowns and/or corrupt graphics permanently (with an ATI card)

I know this is an anchient thread but I am having the exact same problem my vid card is an Radeon 3870HD with updated drivers what is the fix for this?
