In Sonic Heroes is it true you can pick Team Metal Sonic?

I don't know if you can choose Metal Sonic, Chaos, and Eggman in Sonic Heroes if you actually unlocked them please tell me!

its fake, the only way to play as "metal sonic" is to Hold A+Y after you select a level in 2-Player Mode. and that is for 2 player mode, not story mode.
