Star Wars Battlefront crashes
 

I did as i was told and installed Battlefront from my CD´s and then tried the No-CD Patches from GameCopyWorld to make it run withour the CD´s, but it didn´t work.

i got through the Launcher-Screen but then my Screen turned black and went back to Desktop again.

what can i do? and why is this happening?

does it work without a crack, using ur original cd?

no, i allready tried that, too.

so it seems to be a Failure of the Game...

Sounds like you may need to update your display drivers? A Black Screen can be a symptom that your display drivers may be outdated!

yeah if it does crach with the original then its got nothing to do with the crack try getting latest graph card drivers and if no avail, contact tech support.

Exactly...getting a crash with the 'original' discs and asking for tech help in a no-cd/cracking/backup forums is just making you look like you warez'd the game ;)

Go with the above advice and contact Tech Support if you purchased the game legally.

BTW.. GCW needs to change Protection info on their site
 

BTW.. someone should let GCW know that SWB IS actually protected. They have it listed as having only CD Checks, but it in fact has 2 checks and 1 hard protection: CD Check, CDKey Check (only used for online), and SecuRom (version 5.03.06). Now, this is for the US/Canada release (which I have), so I don't know what is being used over in Europe. Just thought I'd post that bit of unrelated news.

Edit: btw.. regardless of what Reloaded says, their latest crack is for version 1.00a, not 1.01a. Minor thing, yes.. unless people go out searching for the 1.01a patch to go with the crack :p What a schmuck I am. :D

These files dont work.I have the same black screen for 2 seconds.I will try it with an 1.01 Version.If this wont work I will Cry many Tears:pand kill the game from HD. Asus V9999 rulez

you need to switch your region-setting to "us" or apply the "foreign-countrys"-crack. worked for me.
