Building a CD Duplicator.....
Hey Gang,
I'm trying to find so info about building a CD duplicator (stand alone). I have an extra tower case and a several CDRW drives laying around and I was just wondering if anyone here has ever built a CD duplicator. If so, how did you do it. What software did you use? I know that Nero and Alcohol can burn to muliple drives but I'm looking more towards a machine that doesn't use an OS (like XP) and doesn't need a monitor hooked up to it. Kind of like those "one touch" models on the net. Since this is just a project to "see if I can do it" I want it to be something upgradeable... maybe 4, 5, or 6 drives??? Anyone's input is welcomed... Thanks in advanceto those who reply! Airdog :) |
For one I think the drives all have to be the same make and model.

I have used Liteon drives for the past several years. They have always been reliable and work great and the price can't be beat (52x for $26.99 @ Newegg.com). The 52x models I have crank out a 700Mb disc in 2:36sec. So if I need to I will make them all the same.
