Flashing Original onboard TSOP BIOS using exploits
 

Well it was bound to happen, someone talked me into trying to Flash the onboard TSOP on an Xbox so here’s what I’ve done.

I temporarily installed an Aladdin Advance Plus to run Evox and set up the hard drive files. I used an exploit called “ Audio Signed Phoenix Bios Loader “. I copied the “C” files and the “E” files, removed the Aladdin chip, soldered the 2 BIOS Write enable jumper spots near the TSOP (a Winbond W49F020, just like in the picture). Booted with audio CD, select copy audio to trigger the exploit and it loaded Evox.

Here’s where I’m stuck, when I try to Flash Bios is shows “ Manufacture ID 09 Device ID 00 !! Flash not writeable !! “ My 2 jumpers are good, triple checked!!!

Do I need to try a different exploit or what’s going on here?

I think evox doesnt support winbond. Try mecheurashia flashing tool.
