Pandora Tomorrow, some thing interesting.
 

I had some Crystal Pack XBoxes shipped from the UK to the US. Any way, I finely got around to unpacking one and hooking it up. Get it all hooked up and power it on, it loads up. So I eject the DVD-Rom tray to see what drive is in it and its got a Philips. <eyes roll>

So I walked over to my stack of games, Pandora Tomorrow is sitting on top, so I open the case up took the disk out and loaded it in the Crystal XBox and walk away. Before I made it out of the room I hear the UBI sound play. I was like WTF, as I was expecting to come back and see the "Invalid region" message. But to my absolute surprise, the game loaded.

I looked at that for a sec and grabbed another game. Need For Speed: Underground. Loaded it up, and got what I expected, "Invalid region". So I loaded Pandora Tomorrow up again thinking maybe it was just a glitch, and sure enough, the game started.

I didn't test all 40+ games of mine to see what ones are locked and not locked. Just thought you guys would like to know this. Any one know of any one of other games that are not region locked?

um this is definitely gonna be stupid of me to say but if I mod the crystal xbox and leave the original components in can I still play my back-ups on the box? or am I gonna get a region invalid code?

If its modded it will play games from any region.

And this is very interesting. Region free games. If you ask me, they should all be region free.

!00% agree with you there. I use to send alot of movies to Europe. All games and DVDs really should be region free. If some one wants it, they will get it one way or the other.

I can see why they are there, but it really dose not stop people from out region 1 getting movies or DVDs from here.
