Anyone know of any ps2 guides for sonic record now?

Theres lots of ps2 guides with record max but none for sonic.

For now ive just been using decrypter to rip and record DVD's.

Is there a time i will need to use anything else??

TylerDurden 07-01-2004 20:05

There is absolutely no need for another tutorial for Sonic RN DX. Just use basically the same settings for RNM. And copy to hdd first then burn.

Does sonic take out the protection when u copy ps2 dvd to HD like decrypter does?

TylerDurden 07-01-2004 20:33

There is no real protection on a ps2 dvd. DVD Decrypter is more of a Movie aimed software.

TylerDurden 08-01-2004 05:41

Yes there is a demo of RNM here:

http://downloads.stompinc.com/support/stprnm450v.exe

I hear there is a demo of Sonic's RN DX but I dont have time to look for it for you.

The "Px Engine" is the same guts that was in Prassi Primo DVD. RecordNow was owned by Veritas, but versions were released by Veritas, Stomp, and Sonic.

Then Sonic bought the engine and the entire product.

Stomp still supports theirs (heck, they might still even SELL it), which is called "Recordnow MAX".

Sonic's licensed product was called "Recordnow DX".

Now, sonic's owned product is called "Recordnow Pro".

The differences are minor, and mostly graphical... and which pX engine comes with it, but px engine updates work clear across the board, so...

The LG can't be recognized with Stomp's version. You must get Sonic's.
