my own music in game

i was wondering if there is a way of placing my own music into games that dont support the custom option, i was told there is a program but the person was not sure what the name of the program was.

All you have to do is replace the game music, with one that you want, that's the same format. Delete/rename. If it is an unknown format, then your out of luck.

yup
wma's usually the format
if u dont find those
then ur probably outta luck

sorry i dont understand, how do i replace the songs,

all i have done so far is to burn wavs onto a cd, then use the custom playlist option to stick the music into the game,

how if possible can i stick a custom song into a game say halo or timesplitters two.

thanx for your time

check the actual files of the game
see if u see any wma files or some music file u recognize, then u can try overwriting them with new wmas, with same filenames
it should work
it may not however

I got it to work in Vice City. Others say it also works in SSX 3.

Tyler!

vice city.. u can just use the tape thing
i think he wants to overwrite the actual game files so that instead of playing their songs it plays his own...
right?

Quall999 04-01-2004 01:51

I think he actually did overwrite the music lol. Was in a topic a while back.

And timesplitters 2 should work. I repped the soundtrack off the disk, so I think you can replace the files with your own. Just make sure it is the same format.

Yes AXmichigan i want to play my own music in games that play their music and not any other music, how do i do this, i do not have access to the xbox harddrive, do i need a modchip, extra software, are you ripping iso's to hard drive then replacing tracks?

devilsminion 04-01-2004 08:01

Mod chip is needed or the no chip hack I guess at the least

What you have to do is by networking your XBox, we'll assume you used a mod chip, to the PC you can use the XBox to ftp the files, when you have the files on the PC you access the folder looking for the wma files once found you can replace them with the ones you want, now you can either burn the game to a dvd or ftp back to a hard drive using evox to play the game.
