TRUE CRIMES gives Purple Screen of DEATH
 

Backed up true crimes with my sony dru510A that has successfully backed up over 70 games. True crimes loads then gives the screen of death when it wants to go to the title menue. what is the deal. I have the apple chip in my v7 ps2.

Interesting. Ive backed up this game without problem.

I know of one other game that gives a purple screen and thats "Drakan". Plus if I remember correctly, it only happens when the game was ripped. It had a sort of wierd protection that know one has cracked. So far that was the only game to have had it in over 2 years.

Ill check to see if they are made by any of the same companies and get back to you. If you have the original you may want to try to recopy again from scratch. I hope your not trying to rip this game.

I think true crimes is one of V7 protected games with 2x TOC check that apple can't get pass it.

yo dude u need a patch www.alucard.cc and register and download the patch

yep true crime dont work with apple chip i sold my apple system due to that problem with the apple and got a v9 smart chip unit u will also find that the apple wont load splinter cell or freedom fighters as well

or better yet just put a new Apple Pro in it and your problem will be solved

Hi, I backed up Freedom Fighters and True Crimes. And none of them would boot!!!.

But after reading the forums I got them to work,

What you have to do is........ when the game boots and the logo appears, eject the game, and inmediately when the tray comes fully out, press eject again.

The game will boot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a V7 PAL with M2

ummm if you have an M2 in your PS2 I dont think you should have any problems with those games, and you for sure shouldnt have to hit eject and all that.
