Burning PS2 DVD games with nero

Hi, im getting a pioneer 106 with my new comp and i believe that the A06/106 comes with nero software instead of RNM. Anyway, with the right settings, burn speed and media is it possible to make reliable PS2 DVD backups without coasters? I'm asking this becuase i heard that nero isnt so good with copying PS2 DVD games.

Nero isn't as good as RNM, but just cause your burner doesn't come with a prog doesn't mean you can't pick it up.

Yeah get the trial before you buy. That way you can test it for 30 days to see if you like then if you want, pay for it.

I tried to use RNM today but it didn't support my DVD burner.
even though I used the updated Px it didn't work.
Maybe in a month or so it will be supported. Who knows.

There is also RecordNow Delux by Sonic. Many people that can use RNM say the Sonic version will recognize their burner.

Dont think it has a trial version though.

thanks for the replies everybody. sorry about my really late reply but ive been away for a while. anyway, i got my new comp and new 106 with nero software. Ive burned several games already with nero and they all seem to work. So far the only game that has given any trouble is onimusha 2. it has frozen twice and both times it was on cut scenes (not FMV scenes, just the normal cut scenes). I might give RNM a try just to see how good it is. But so far nero is going fine so i cant complain.

BTW, what speed do you guys think is better to burn at? Ive burned at 1 and 2x already and there is barely any difference in error rates between them (i use kprobe to test with my liteon dvd rom). Is the reflectiveness/tracking/readability any better at 1x? what about 4x? how reliable is that (i havent got any 4x discs to mess around with).

Thanks :D

Burn at whatever speed your media and burner allow.

I had to go with NERO ULTRA because RNM wouldnt recognize my burner as well. Love it. Absolutely love it. Not one buffer underrun, error, etc. coaster yet. Flawless victory. It is a memory hog though.
