I Noticed The Strangest Thing!!!
Hi guys,
Ok real strange one here. I bought my xbox the day they first came out...Yeh i was sad enough to wait outside the doors at midnight!!! My machine's a 1.0 modded with a matrix with the Xecuter2.Build.4977 Anyway I recently modded a couple of my mates machines so they could play backups of theirs. Both were versions 1.1. I used the X.B.I.T on both the machines (Very impressed!) and used my backup of soul calibur 2 to test them. When playing the intro screen I noticed that it was ever so slightly...and i mean slightly jumpy. Nothing at all noticible mind, just not 100% smooth and rather 95%. Small difference. Sound perfect! So i checked the other 1.1 and yup, same again. Put my trusty 1.0 on and it was 100% smooth like i remembered it to be. Anyway, curiosity killed the cat and i ended up replacing my mod with one of the XBITS. Worked fine still 100%. So out popped the original....EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUE AS THE BACKUP. Ever so light jumpiness. Therefore it isn't a prob with the bios/mod and rather the machines......I think maybe when microsoft cut down the costs of the machine they replaced parts of inferior quality on the MBOARD. Really can't explain this one!!!!! I can't stress how little difference there is between the 1.0 and the two 1.1's but it is there! J |
well it`s simple. Microsoft first thought that the xbox will bring them easy mony. But when the xbox was hacked after a few weeks there money was simply gone so yes they had to make the xbox cheaper for sale and the needed to lower the cost price of the console. I heard that the sale price is below the cost price of the console but i don`t believe it. Can hardly believe that the xbox is so expensive to make. I`m sure microsoft still wins monoy with the thing
