Swap Magic 2.0 Games don't work
 

I have 2 PS2's one with a Magic 3.1 and the other with a Flip Top and the Swap Magic. I want to move to the Swap Magic Flip Top Ps2 'cause my Mod chip has issues with several games, but now I have simular issues with games like Tomb Raider: AOD, Hitman 2, Silent Hill 3, and Soul Calibur 2. I Have a VS 7 and a VS 8 PS2. I've tried different media to make back-ups on DVD games , but these games will not play in the Flip Top. I can play them on my VS7 with the Magic 3.1, but I hate to have to swap systems all the time and esp for a moody system like the 3.1. I'm going to try the CD LOADER disk and keep my fingers crossed.

i dont have a no solder or swap magic at this time or i would try it it looks like it would work :)

hmm wonder if this would work on my apple for playing splinter cell and soul callbur 2 i will give it a try right now :)

it loads up in my apple and u can change the dvds just by hitting triangle on the ps2 controler it works but i need swap magic and a no solder chip to change the dvds w/o the ps2 knowing i open the ps2 which resets the TOC size of the game i put in the unit it works kinda like the gs2 worked on a v6 consle u load the gs2 then u put in a original game and load its toc size then u put the backup in and it loads from there when i get another swap magic no solder i will test this again

hey orion could u tell me how u got the games to boot useing this ive got a extra no solder and i cant get it to work on it it loads and all i take out the cdloader and load ffx for a TOC then it says to put in a dvd-r useing the EA bootmethod what ever that means i just then hold the eject till tray comes open then take out the ffx and put copy in tray shuts i hit x it loads alil then gose to RSOD am i doing something worng what do they mean by EA method i never booted a game that way i figerd it owuld work just like a swap magic and v7 no solder which is what i got

I started using the gameshark ver2. Once I use the no solder swap to get the cd loader to boot, I use FFX for my TOC original also. I hit X and it tells me to use the EA method or whatever. That's when I hold down eject, the light turns from green to orange, swap FFX with the DVD-R, the tray automatically goes back in and once the eject light changes from Orange to green I hit X. I am doing this on a V4 console. What game are you trying to get to boot and what brand of media is it burnt on? Does this backup work on a no swap chip such as an apple, magic, or messiah class?

o im useing a v7 no solder and i used swap magic cd version to load cd loader then used ffx for TOC size then i tryed booting splinter cell no work hit man 2 no work and slinet line amored core no work but slient line works fine with just swap magic boot im thinking it works the same way as trying to load a gs2 to boot games on a ps2 it knows the 2x swap :( i thought it would fix the problem. ur useing a v4 thats why it worked for u i could play splinter cell on a v6 with gs2 just fine but not on a v7 unit. i guess my negibor has to buy the new swap magic 3.0 when it comes out it fixes all the 2.0 problems but thats awhile b4 3.0 comes out. i can play splinter cell the way that bighap had listed open and close tray and it plays on my apple and soul 2 plays just fine for me
