Copied Half-life means no counterstrike?
 

I don't have the original copy of Half Life, but I still want to play Counterstrike.
Is this possible?

Do I need a crack wich changes the serial?
Or will any "no cd" crack work?

You don't need the CD to run Halflife in multiplayer, so as long as it's installed, and you have a valid CD-Key, it'll run no problem. Counter-Strike should run fine.

The point is, I don't have a valid cd-key.

No, without a valid CD key your client will not get WON authorization upon trying to join a game server. A no CD crack makes no difference. The only way to get a valid CD key is to buy an original copy of halflife. A fake or Key-gen created identification number will allow you to play only on LAN's but not on the internet. You could try the number that was on the HL cd that you copied, but because whoever you copied it off has the same num´ber when he/she is playing any HL mod then you will not be able to log onto any servers.
