What CD protection does Splinter Cell for the PC use???
I just bought my shiny, new copy of Splinter Cell for the PC from EB! :D I don't have time to play right now, but after work, I'm gonna play all night!!
Anyways, sorry for the bragging. Well, does anyone know the CD protection scheme used for this game?? My copy of ClonyXXl doesn't work. |
G'day Optimummind,
You "Gloater".......... :p Based on the Latest NFO news protection is CDILLA 2.... |
safedisc 2.80.11
|
thx, using that info, I've made 3 perfect 1:1 copies of all 3 CD's. man, you just gotta love Alcohol!
|
Just thought I'd pass this on.
You should notice that only the 3rd CD is protected with Safedisc 2.80. The first 2 are straight copyable (and that should shorten your backup time by 200%). :D Have fun. Tips |
i made back-ups of all 3 cds, and the 3rd cd is the cd needed to play the game, my backup dont work.. are all yours like this? i cant play sc untill a no-cd is released... am i the only one with this problems?

Orlando,
Trying using the newest version of Alcohol 120% which is v1.40.114. I've used that with my Lite-On 48x24x48x CD-RW to burn perfect 1:1 copies of Mafia, Unreal 2, and Splinter Cell among other recent games. They all work beautifully..OMG, I'm so happy!! :D :D BTW, I used Memorex CD-R's as the medium. |
where can i download this alcohol thingy?
i got the no-cd 1.1 already though.. but for future games where can i dl alcohol? |
