c&c generals 1.02 nocd patch
 

hey guys, quick question as I am sure its something im doing wrong. the new update just came out and i was waiting for the 1.02 nocd patch so i could play with my friends via direct connect, im not interested in online play anyways, both the 1.02 nocd patches are only a game.dat.. i replaced it just as the directions said and the game when it starts still says it cant find the cd. it does the same whether the cds in the drive or the drives empty. anyone else have this problem? i had the same problem when i originally nocd patched it with a game.dat replacement. then i used a generals.exe replacement and i never had a problem again. do i need to wait for a 1.02 generals.exe or is the game.dat enough and im doing something wrong? thanks

I downloaded both from gimpsRus and STN. Both cracks dont work. I use Windows XP. :(

well apparently that guy got the nocd crack to actually work, plays the game fine, then has a problem onces hes in a game online? i cant even get past the original load screen / cannot detect cd screen.

There are 2 versions of the EA's 1.2 patch out, seems one was a beta and the crack probably worked with that. Dunno, just speculating.

EA probably re-released a new 1.2 to specifically check for the 1.2 no-cd crack.

gimpsRus NoCD need DEViANCE generals.exe.

It seems that you still need the 1.0 cracked exe as the only thing the 1.02 update changes is the general.dat file. So you use the 1.0 cracked exe and the 1.02 cracked general.dat to play without the CD.

Don't know about the online problem, don't do he online thing.

Hope that clears this up for people on the NoCD part.

Ya i got it to work in singleplayer np at all...the culprut is the online crack found at GCW following link

You can chat all you want with ppl in the lobby...start a game and 20seconds into it...BOOM everything goes byebye...
just use the original disc till a fix comes out :)
