newbie stuff: soul calibur scrolling problem, I can't install patch
 

hello, I am a total newb here as the title states :rolleyes:
I just got my dreamcast the other day at EB games.

I have the cdi image of Soul Calibur. I used disc jugller to burn it to a cd and it plays on my dreamcast, but the screen scrolls rapidly.

I found a 50hz patch for this game, but I can't figure out how to patch it.

The patch came with 4 files

2 bin files
1 diz file
1 msinfo document

I tried to run ppf o matic 3 with no luck.

can someone give me a step by step on how to patch this game?

Why isn't there a ppf file in the patch? I'm guessing that is what i'm missing?

Open the "msinfo" file with a text editor.
It should contain explanation about what you have to do.

i just waited until the screen with 3 options came up.....60hz, 50hz and auto...its hard to see, but wait a few minutes, and then look for 60 i believe, and it will stop
