burning over 4.7 gig movies?
 
i currently have legacy 4.7 gig dvdr's what do i have to do to burn movies that are over 4.7 gig ? do i have to buy 2 sided dvdr? or is it not possible ? i'm really green to movie burning i have alot of dvd movies and my family members would like me to copy some of them for them and i was woundering what i have to do?


i bought the pioneere a04 to burn ps2 but thought i might as well burn movies while at it thanks in advacne.....sparky

It is possible to fit the movie on one dvd-r. You will have to remove extras and the audio streams you dont use and such. If that still isn't enough you can either put it on a double sided dvd-r, two dvd-r, or encode the video to a lower bitrate to it will fit on one dvd-r. You can read the tutorials to to this at doom.net

Another good tutorial is at dvd2dvdr.com The Spruce up tutorial is fairly easy to follow. This is the one I use with good results.

ok after i have followed the spruce up technique to a t i get compliance error with nero and the job terminates in prassi dvd 2.0 any suggestions?
