Memorex DVD-R Media

Hi has anyone used Memorex DVD-R (version2) media ? I've tried making backups of Vice city & RedFraction 2 They boot up but they tend to lockup on me after playing I'm not sure if it's a media ,software or a hardware issue . The drive is a Sony DRU500A & The Software I used is Record Now that came with the drive. Any comments would be great

Are those your only 2 backups or do you have others? If yes, how do they work? Also, what mod u got?

Overall Memorex is trash..Their Cd-R's are pretty good to some standard but their DVD-r's ONLY good for Movies..
However this is opinion based since Some out there does indeed not have any problems..
Personally TDK,Imation or Verbatim works for me..
Once the media above mentioned works on my machine so it varies on other's machines..

Ditto with A03. I bought the 5 pack of Memorex and got only 2 to boot. Which dont boot all the time. I had very good luck with Verbatim. They are on sale at BestBuy if you live in the USA.

Yes those are my first 2 PS2 DVD backups I have mostly have CD-R backups they all work great . I just recieved the DVD burner with the Memorex media. (good thing it's only a 5 pack) I have read that other members had probs with them also. I'll try the Verbatim's

PS2 is a US ver.5 with a No sod mod (That will change soon Looking to get a new mod)

Thanks for all your help

I had same problem with memorex dvd-r, they seemed to work well for only small toc games. Bought some Verbatim dvd-r and they work great for VC and other large toc games.
