Finally - How to play vcds in dvd players

For all those of you who have been having problems playing your "backups" of vcds in your dvd players i have the solution. Are we ready for it........cd-rw discs....okay so it isnt the most complex way of sorting it but i found this out. In cas anyone is wondering or trying to figure it out it is because most dvd players can only read certain cd dyes. The ones thats will work are bronze (hence cd-rw or dvds) or silvers (which is why the originals work). So when making "backups" make sure it is on a silver or bronze one..NOT GREEN which is the most common one nowadays.

By the way if all of you already knew all of this it means i have just wasted some time therefor my end remark to all of you smartassed know it alls, in the words of Eric Cartmen.......screw you peckerheads!

Even so, certain DVD players just wont read ANY CD Media or VCD, most of the Toshiba DVD players wont read anything like that, just "REAL" DVDs.

Sure this might be the case for some DVD players out there, but if the player SAYS you can read VCDs, SVCDs, or MP3 CDs, then its not going to matter much at all what type of CD you put those on, most of the older players just dont read those formats at all, and there are still a lot of newer ones that dont either

its not the dye thats a problem. its the reflectivity. cd-rw's are much less reflective than regular cd-rs. princo (really cheap shitty cd-r's) are reputed for working as vcds on most players.
