Has Anyone Got THis to Work Xbox Burning Games
Ok, I am lost.
Heres the story. I have a Pioneer DVD-A04, X-Ecuter Mod, and DL Prassi. Everything is installed and working. When I put in my store bought "Halo" in my computer I can not copy it. It says it is 26.9MB. No Good. So I think I am supposed to put Evolution on my xBox and then do the transfer from xBox -> Computer. Not a problem but how do I do that. How do install Evolution on my xbox? Please help. Thanks, LostxBoxer ([email protected]) |
You are right that you use evoX to copy the files from the xbox to your PC. You need to set up the evolutionX dashboard.
to set up the dash: 1. Next browse the dvd drive (drive "d"). Copy the files "evox.ini" and "default.xbe" to your PC. 2. Then, goto the "C" partition. rename "xboxdash.xbe" to "msxboxdash.xbe" 3. Copy the "default.xbe" and the "evox.ini" to the "c" drive. 4. Rename the "default.xbe" thats on the "c" drive, to "xboxdash.xbe" You can find a detailed tutorial on setting up the dashboard here. And to connect to your xbox, use a program like FlashFXP |
Thanks for the reply.
The problem I am at now is I have burned EvoX on a CDR and put it in my xBox and get the dirty disk error. I have rebooted with it in there and also why it is on and still get the same error. Could this be a bad soilder joint? I tested it with a Fluke meter to check that I was getting connectivity and it looked good. Whats next? Thanks, Nick |
Do you have a on/off switch for your modchip? Doesn't have anything to do with it, but xbox live has chip detection. And most of the time, if your xbox boots up to the dashboard, the modchip is working. Otherwise the light would blink red and the xbox won't boot anything at all.
Anyways, did you meen cd-r, or cd-rw? Xbox can only read cd-rw's. Also, you need to use a program called "Xiso" to make an iso file, then burn it with a program like Nero. And your CD-rw that you make should have these 2 files in it, and the cd shouldn't be able to be read in your PC. default.xbe menu.ini (or evox.ini, depending on your version) Now I must sleep. |
