S.O.S WITH <STRONGHOLD CRUSADER> (please!!!)
 

HI! Could any one get Stronghold Crusader installed? The first time i tried to install it i got some error messages, now when i run the AUTORUN.exe it gives me a choice to PLAY or UNINSTALL ... i have tried uninstall, but there is nothing to uninstall, i have removed everything related to stringhold from my HD, i have gone through the registry to get rid of all entries, but still no luck, as soon as i run the setup.exe it runs the uninstaller :eek: ........ i have tried this with two different CD's ....... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!! :confused:

Download the tool regedit!! Clean with this tool your Registery.
Install Stronghold Crusader new! Download the NOCD-Crack.
Copy the NOCD-Crack in your Stronghold Install-Folder. The original Stronghold.exe will be changed in the new Stronghold.exe
The rund the Programm. If it not run start your PC new. The ist must Work.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Actually i ave already gone throughout the registry ad removed anything related to Stronghold and Firefly ....... i have the no cd, but the problem is that i cannot install the program. It keeps on giving me the option of uninstall (when i run setup.exe). Any more ideas on what must be done?

You have delted the compled Folder of Stronghold?
are you sure you have completed del the entries of stronghold?
i have make an error. The programm you must dowload is " Regcleaner" This programm find all Registeryenteries! And del the old enteries! then it must work!!

SouthsideDevil: Thanks for the Idea. I have tried that also (with a different program), but i tried it with RegCleaner (actually it found one entry), but still NO LUCK!!! I have tried 2 CD's, so i know it is not a corrupted file on the CD. Waht else can it be?????? :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

Some games put an ini-file in the Windows-Folder on drive C: .
Try searching for some strange ini-files and delete them....

Hi and thanks for the idea. I tried that too, i had the folder on "show hidden files" ... and also viewd all "unknown" files too .. none of them have anything to do with Stronghold ... but what concerns me is, when i search the registry, i found an entry and it said the "current directory" and "path" was in C:\WINDOWS. ????
Strange, i have nothing in windows folder related to Stronghold.
(i have attached a screenshot). So, there doesnt seem to ne any ini files too ... :( .. i am almost giving up on this. Bu thank you all for your ideas. <more ideas will be welcome :)>

Try to del the path to windows in the registery! That path say windows who stronghold is! Del it! And then try it again!

Yeah i have .. all entries are gone from the registry .. that was just a screenshot that it was refering to WINDOWS folder. Although there is nothing in the windows folder. So i cant get it .... all is gone from the registry (using two different programs, including reg cleaner) ... all gone from the HD .. (no folders or files left) ... but still will not install .... this is where im <stuck>!?!?!?!

just explorer the cd and don't click autorun double click the setup exe and install again. it work for me with games inn the past. hope i helped:)

Btw, i got problem displaying those text correctly in the game, it just messed up... anyone know why?

v3688e: What excatly and at what place is it giving you this problem? Have you tried an uninstall / reinstall??? Is it during the game?

copyed game used exe can run with out cd and on net at same time as down loading???


do you have a origanel cd???? and copyed it??????
