point blank 2 and psx games problem
 

Hi.I have a Ps2 with a v4 no solder modchip (Pal version)
I.m using Clone C.D. 4.0 to burn ps one and ps2 backup cds.
My recorder is a sony CRX 145 E (atapi fully compatible with clone cd).I usually use Clony xxl 2.0.0.6 settings to burn most of my psx and ps2 backups with the exception of some protected games like spyro 3 and resident evil 3.
I'm facing some problems with Point Blank 2 Pal version.
In this case the cd burned succesfully using the clony xxl settings.The problem is that the game freezes on loading screen right after the game's intro movie.The game works perfectly on my epsxe emulator so I know that the backup cd is allright.Exactly the same problem happens with Alundra 2,Tomb Raider 1 and One. After the intro movie/screen all of these games freeze and all of these games work perfectly on epsxe emulator.I have 32 more cds all created with clone cd (clony xxl settings) and they all work perfectly on my ps2 .Moreover I know that these games are not on the psx protected game list.Am I doing something wrong or some backup games do not work/are incompatible with my modchip?The original psx games work fine.Please help.

i think there is a few psx games that dont work with the no solder mod chip!

I've followed the tutorial instructions to the letter.The backup cd works fine on the epsxe emulator but not on my ps2. After the intro movie/screen it freezes on the loading screen.Same thing happens with Final Doom.Just a thought but I've noticed that these games(Point Blank 2,Final Doom,One,Tomb Raider have small images on my hard disc.I mean that not all 650 mb of the cd are used.Could the problem be there?

where have u got the idea that a psx game takes up a whole cd??

You are right.By the way i've tried the backups I made in a modchiped psone and they work fine.So I guess it must be the modchip's fault after all.What I can't understand is why these games specifically?All the other 32 games work fine.Strange...

this trick works on a psx so it might work on a ps1 as well,try putting your ps1 on it's side and see if it helps!
