Ps2 Network adapter Setup

Hi!

I got my ethernet adapter the other day at best buy. The salesperson recommended that I get another 8mb memory card because when I run the setup disk that comes with the adapter, it will wipe out everything on a memory card.

Q: Is this true?

personally, I think its a load of crap, cuz I haven't heard or read anything that remotely resembes what he was talking about.

Would like some feedback from those in the know, and those who've set it up.

Not true. It writes a small file to your card, but it won't wipe it out.

It is not true! That was an example of a salesman trying to squeeze another memory card sale out of you.

Hi

Erm, this PS2 network adapter, does it allow you to connect to the web etc.!!!

TylerDurden 29-09-2002 10:39

Well you cant browse the web. I have heard of a Jap version that came with a web browsing disc. I still have to confirm the existence of one.

what type of connection do you have to have with this adapter? will a connection of 56k work or dsl, cable etc.?

bighap 03-10-2002 12:19

Any connection will work.

Yes but after that it depends on the game. A game like SOCOM requires an ethernet connection.

I've heard rumors a USB network adapter for a PC would work on the PS2? Any truth to that?
