PAL -> NTSC patch (installing on Clone CD image?)

Dear Message Board,

I am trying to install a PAL to NTSC patch on a Clone CD backup.

I have a US NTSC PS2 and bought a PAL Pro Evolution Soccer game. I installed the MOD chip and have GameShark 2.

Using this great FORUM I found the tools to make a backup of the game with CloneCD. The backup boots up fine in my PS2 but the signal to my TV is PAL?!! I can play it fine on my Multisystem TV at work but not at home!!

I have found the ISS Pro Evolution PAL-2-NTSC Patch (kal-issn.zip) but am having a hard time installing it on my CloneCD image file!?

How can I best install the PAL-2-NTSC patch?

thanks for your help,

Florian

although I have heard that CloneCD images can be patched, I always use CDRWin myself. Use the small tutorial here to help you out, post back if you have any more problems.

if using ppf3 patcher then clonecd image is np :)

if using a patcher that doesnt recognise game.img(clonecd image)
rename to game.bin
patch it
then rename back to game.img
it works
then burn with clonecd

I still have to try that out Dust. I have used PPF3 once trying to apply Winning Eleven 6 english patch to a .ccd image and that didnt work. I will have to do more tests as well as try your method and confirm whether it works or not.

Which file do you patch the ccd or img

thanks to all of you for replying and helping out!!

I have tried patching with ppf3 on a clone cd image without luck up to now.

Which file do I need to patch: there are 3 files clone cd gives me
IMAGE.img 669MB
IMAGE.sub 28MB
IMAGE.ccd 299KB

I tried to rename the .img file to .iso and patch it then rename it back = that didn't work.

thanks a lot!!

My guess would be to patch the .img file.

I think your problem was you tried to make the .img file into an .iso. Try making it a .bin instead of an .iso.

I still havent had a chance to confirm this since I have been completely overwhelmed with work lately.
