A chip for Original Import games?
 

I want a cheap chip that just manages to play Imported PS2 game from USA and Japan. What chip is good for that?? I dont want to pay $220 for Chip + Instalation for the Messiah chip. There are other cheaper ones but I dont know if they work good only for Original Import games???

u wont beat the messiah
and its bit cheaper now then u have qouted
a cheaper option but not by much would b the origa chip

yeas but here in Sweden this IS the price right now for the Messiah chip.
The other chips are:
Origa chip + instalation for $150
Neo4 chip + instalation for $200
Neo 2.2 chip + instalation for $75

I have the PS2 "v4" whit a "R" or something.

If u got the v4 board than the only option is the Neo 2.2 which is a lot cheaper than messiah.With the v4 board u should be able to play any back up game,dvd back up and if I not mistaken it also play the import game.
So the choice is yours...

Neo2.2 does not aply Original Imports..Only Messiah,Origa and Magic2 will play imports..
And of course the upcoming Cyclone,Apple chip and X02.

Hey A03..... Do you have any more info on the X02 chip.... I just saw a website that is selling them....It only supports a few different versions of the PS2 now but seems to be a promising chip....:cool:

Personally Cyclone is a gonna be better Chip from what I hear..
Everybody is talking about it..But who knows..
For all we know X02 could be it and just don't realize it yet..
But I think Cyclone is up to it's Deeds..And then one day Messiah will show itself and no one cares about it..
There is nothing new on X02 at the time..

By the way BG where did u find this website? Can u pin point the site so that I can have a look on this new chip?
