Why do you want to do this? I don't mean to get vindictive, but i don't understand why you'd add an extra step.

You may be able to extract the iso from the disc juggler image, and burn that, but i am not sure exactly how to do that...there may be a program here @ megagames...

Tiens, un francais. :)

Am I stupid? Because I don't understand.

You guys maybe wanna share this with us not-speaking-french people?

Sorry Janus. :)

The question was "how to make a NON selfboot game from a selfboot game ?".
The answer was : "binhack *.bin 0, then burn your CD".

Well, he might want to use Utopia's boot disc because it uses its own routines for frequency. Sometimes, some games will boot with Utopia and won't by themselves. Unless you find a patch for this, you can't play your game.

for selfboot dc games the 1st_read.bin needs to be scrambled
for non selfboot it needs to be unscrambled

There is a program called scramble.exe that allows to scramble/descramble. As you can see the purpose of this program is to do exactly what you're trying and also the opposite.

The program can be found on http://mc.pp.se/dc/sw.html (look for 1ST_READ.BIN scrambler- A program to do the neccessary scrambling of the binary file on bootable CDs. Run with -d to descramble)

It needs to be compiled first, if you dont want to bother with that i suggest you download it from somewhere else. I remember Dc Factory comes with compiled scramble.exe or i could email the program to you since its fairly small...
