Pal-2-NTSC patch???
 

Hoping you could tell me where to start about making a pal to ntsc patch for my NFL Gameday 2001 psx game. My tv's are not pal compatible so the screen rolls. I would like to try to patch it to see if it will work, but all I find are ntsc-2-pal patches. Someone said they made their own?

this is for NTSC-PAL, but presumably you can swap around.

Ok I haven't yet tried tha patch and wonder if I should now. When I got the NFL Gameday 2001 (pal) it played in color but the screen rolled, even when I tried the ntsc/pal boot disk. I was told that this was because my tv didn't play pal, maybe it was too old, that I would have to get a new tv because nothing else would fix the problem. But then I wondered if I could patch it like I asked above.

In the meantime someone sent me a copy of Dexter in pal format. I knew it wouldn't work but I thought I'd try anyway. So I put in the ntsc/pal boot disk in and then Dexter. And guess what...it works.

So what should I think now??? My tv does play pal with the ntsc/pal boot disk, but not for NFL Gameday. Do you think it is maybe a bad copy? I guess I'm going to try the patch anyway andd see what comes of it.
