Fifa World Cup 2002 DVD-R Question
 

Hi All,

When i play this game during the game it slows down! is this normal? like the gameplay is not that smooth sometimes.

I used apple dvd-r media. I notice that it reads the dvd-r disk alot when playing(to get the commentry audio?)

I think i heard someone else have this issue.

Is it just the way the game was designed?

I've got fifa 2002 on dvdr as well. The game itself (even on original) slows down ever so slightly but not drastically.

Just out of curiousity, next time it does start to slow down reset your machine and watch the fmv intro. If this starts jumping then try using better dvdr media (pioneer and panasonic work a treat for me, although i don't know what u're using at the mo)

I use Apple DVD-R as I said above.

it;s not a dramatic slowdown, but u do notice it, especially in midfield.

i tried resetting the ps2 when the problem happens, and the fmv plays ok.

If the FMV is running fine then the only slowdown you're seeing is the game itself. As I said be4, It does suffer from slight slowdown so don't worry m8.
