Where can I download a PSX boot disk?
 

Which is the best one and how do I burn them. Do any of the 4 boot disk that PSXcopyworld have work?

sure you can burn any boot disk,but it wont work with out a mod chip,because it has unreadable sectors that can not be writen with any burner,same as a game.that is why you need a mod chip.

there must be a way. I've read on post that people do use boot disks and waht about those boot disk that are over the web, they are on cds too, right. Come on, somone must know how.

this only applies to orignial boot discs. in order for u to use a burnt boot disc u will need a mod-chip.

Tell me about that original boot disk, what do you mean original, its still on a CD right, so whats the diff.?

a psx can not read a cdr without a mod chip of some sort the original boot disc is not a cdr but if you copy it it goes on a cdr its just like coping a game

yes its a cd. put it this way, its like having an original psx game and a burnt one, the original will work but the burnt one will need a mod-chip to work. same applies to the boot disc. (providing the game is not protected and needs to be patched). i recommend an internal mod, less hassel.

Original games and boot cd's contain data that must be pressed into the cd not burned. No commercial cd writer is capable of reading or writing this unique data which is what seperates a original from a backup.
