Worms: World Party v1.01 [ENGLISH] Fixed EXE
 

I applied the latest patch from Team17 (Service Pack 1 - v1.01) and then used the fixed EXE by Myth Team. I can ####t the game without the CD. I can connect online to Wormnet without the CD. However I CANNOT enter an actual hosted game without the CD. If anyone from the Myth Team is reading this, you had better get back to work, do a proper job, and re-release this file.

While I'm at it, other than saying English, the download (nor the .nfo file in the zipped file itself) doesn't say which version the fixed EXE is for. Is the UK or USA version?

I copied the EXE to the directory. When I ####t the game, I get a message saying something about not being able to find the default soundbank. When I try a single player mission, the game dies. Am I missing something? Do I need to do anything with that nfo file? Has anyone gotten this to work?

Hmm, not sure what the problem is. Maybe try installing the game from the CD again, patch to v1.01, and then copy the Fixed EXE to the proper directory and see if that works.

That is what I have been doing. How do you set a default sound bank? Maybe I need to do that before replacing the EXE.

If You Got This Message,Be Sure Your Working Dir. Is Right.
For Ex. If You Created A Shortcut Without Setting The Working Dir To Your Worms Install Dir,You Will Get This Error Message.

i also want to play wwp in worment without the CD, so get crackin' it!

the reason it doesnt work on worm net is because when you connect they send a packet to your pc, the exe then tries to read a specific sector (sent via the server in the packet.. thus totally changeable easily), crc's it and then sends the crc back to the server for 'validation'...

initially it was sector 0x17171717 (team 17 - cute eh), invalid sector, next day they started using 'correct' sectors (within the sector range of the cd)..

which explains why a no-cd exe wont work for worm net :) full image mounted should work though..
