Tropico Backup
 

I have heard I need to copy the CD to the hard drive in order to burn Tropico, but I'm unclear what I do next. The posts I read didn't make the process clear. Do I:
1)
Copy the CD to the Hard Drive
Apply the 1.02 patch
Burn the files
Install the game.
Apply the 1.02 crack
play the game
OR
2)
Copy the CD to the Hard Drive
Burn the files
Install the game.
Apply the 1.02 patch
Apply the 1.02 crack
play the game

which one? 1 or 2??

Copy all the files from cd to a temp directory.
Replace the tropico.exe in the _setup directory with the one from the 1.02 upgrade patch (the patch only contains the new exe)
Then burn the contents of the temp directory to a new blank using the same volume label as the original cd.
All the tropico patches replace the cd protection with a simple cd #####.

Hey thanks man... That's kind of hilarious what the Tropico team had to do.... Essentially they removed their copy protection in ver. 1.02 didn't they? Too funny...
