Age Of Empires 2 CD Crack problem! HELP!
 

Hey i got a couple cd cracks for AOE2 for version 2.0a and it worked for single player but i cant be the host of a multiplayer game , when i try to start a game it says "You must have a CD in your CDROM Drive" Who knows of a working CD Crack for AOE2? Thanks

I have tried all of the cracks on GameFix and on MegaGames and none of them work. I get exactly the same error - I can start up Aoe2 without any problems and even play single-player, but as soon as I try to host or join a multi-player game it gives me that error.

The first thing ya need to do fellas is get the right software. Use clonecd and make an image of your original cd. You do have one right, otherwise what you are doin is ILLEGAL. Anyway after you get clonecd from GCW site, set fast error skip on, read at 8x, then burn your backup image and you shouldn't have any probs. I don't with my backup.

But I think you're missing the point of why I want to do this. I bought the game and I would have no problem using the CD the entire time. I just don't want to, because it slows the game down, hamstrings my machine and makes my gaming experience excrutiating (as in painful).

The reason I want to crack the install is so that I don't have to put the CD in my drive when I start the game up. So that's why I'm looking for a crack for 2.0a. And, incidentally, I have not found one anywhere that works.
