Question about crack GCW RA2
 

I am trying to copy ra2 with the gcw crack.
I have copy the cd to my hd.
Now i want to extract the crack to that dir
but it`s telling me that there is already a folder with the name "setup"...
Do i have rename the crack folder "setup" or must i delete the original game folder "setup"????

Please help me i am just new at this...

Don't extract it to the setup folder if that is what you are doing. Extract it to TEMP/CD and the .bat file will automatically go in the setup folder.

Ok that worked..
but now i see when i want to use the bat file.
in a dos window:
Acces denied
Duplicate file name or file in use
Please delete crack_allied.bat and burn the cd with the label: Ra1

Does this mean that it worked or not???

Same thing happened to me but I still went and burned it on cd. When you install it goto temp/cd/setup/setup_allied or soviet. You then put the serial number in (can get it from gamecopyworld aswell). But after you have done that it says that installation files are not found. I haven't got a clue what to do now. If you do find out please let me know at [email protected]. This is because its hard to sometimes get to a message coz their servers' having problems.l

When you make a backup of RA2, if you opened the file CRACK_SOVIET.BAT you'll notice that all the file does is
--> Delete SETUP.EXE
--> Rename SETUP_SOVIET.EXE to SETUP.EXE.

The Batch file will not do this because, SETUP.EXE is set to READ ONLY because it just came off a CD, obviously.
You can either right-click, properties on the `SETUP.EXE' file and untick `Attributes - READ-ONLY' Then run the Batch
Or you can Manually Delete SETUP.EXE and Rename SETUP_SOVIET.EXE to SETUP.EXE
It will all work after that,... but.

After I installed it the whole game worked fine, installation worked fine, checking disks had to be done of course because it needs files off them, but it used the copied discs perfectly, There is one problem though, ANY Level that I start, On Either Disc, US or Soviet, will start to play like normal, all my units arrive like normal, then they will all simultaneously die and the Mission Will Fail.

If someone can help me with that,... it would be very fun.

So what GAME.EXE is required to be used? and why wasn't it included in the `Crack' on Game Copy World?
