Important xploder question. Please read...
 

Can someone please tell me if the xploder cd 9000 (the one you can download from the net to use as a psx boot cd as well as a game enhancer) as any kind of protection or is in anyway incompatible with the ps2. This is what happened: I downloaded it from the net, burned it using cdrwin and it booted just fine on my ps2. But every time I try to input a new code the screen just freezes, I can´t do anything and I have to reset the ps2.
Sometimes it even freezes when I am just looking at the codes that already exist on the cd, but when I going through the other options on the cd nothing of this happens, it only happens on the codes menu!!!!! Can someone tell me if this has ever happen to someone else or how I can get it to work properly? Like I said before I use it on a ps2 (pal).

Yes it is. If an anti-modchip protection is causing this can you tell me if there is anyway to shut it off or go around it?

my ps2 is not modded but i can gurantee it is not a protection try using a different cd and burn again

i d/loaded x-ploder and it works fine on ps1 not sure bout ps2 but maybe try burning again with clone at a slow rate

O.K. I'll try it but I doubt it will work because my cdrwin is the trial version , it can only copy at 1X. You can´t copy any slower than that!!!!
Anyway I'll try it and i will tell you if it worked.

Hi people it's me again!! I've tried to burn the image using clone CD burning at 1X , but nothing changed: the xploder still freezes on the codes screen , specially when I try to input a new code.
And i am almost sure that it isn't the CD causing this because when you boot the disc, as soon as the psx logo fades out and a message from the guys that created the xploder saying that sony has nothing to do with it appears, you can take out the CD because all the options are stored on the machine's RAM. You can go through all the options without the CD just fine, except the codes option, that freezes with or without the CD inside the ps2.
I really don't know what to do now, can someone else help or tell if this has happen to another person?
