Tomb Raider 2 backup help
PS1 uk pal/ CD-Exchanger / Ricoh CDR (Nero/CD Clone)
Sorry guys'n gals two stupid ones coming in here; 1. I have tried backing up Tomb Raider 2 but cannot get it to work, it seems to copy OK but wont go past the menu select screen point "new game" - any suggestions? 2. What do the following settings in CD Clone equate to in the latest version as they're not there. CloneCD PSX Read Settings: Enable Read "Digital ID" Protection. Enable Read Extra Data from Audio Tracks. |
i`m new to clonecd but i think the setings are
read subchannel data from data tracks & read subchannel data from audio tracks. try using clony to read the protection one cd`s. its down loadable from the net. sorry cant find the site but i`m sure somebody else will help with that. |
None of the Tomb Raider series are protected in the UK (not sure about others) so they should'nt offer any great trouble to backup.
I have used CDRWin with no trouble at all. If you are still having problems then please feel free to get in contact. |
I'm with spooky on that one cdrwin clonecd and hp mycd gave me workin copies without any problems just remeber to take your time.

i know this is a very old topic but i have been having the same problem myself i had made backup copies of tomb raider 1 and 2 on PS1 and burned them with Nero, everytime i get to the main menu and start a new game, the disc spins, then stops, spins then stops, and won't load anything, just a blank screen. i burned the games at low speeds and high speeds, i used different media and even different burn programs such as clonecd and Alcohol 120% and i get the same result, the blank screen :( the games are in .bin format and are the PAL versions, i use PS-X change 2 to do the swap on the old PSX, i even tried doing the swap on the PStwo with a diffrent loader but got the same results also. please please please help!

Try making a direct backup from the original.
