LMA 2001 Patch problems
 

I am having problems getting the lma 2001 patch to work, and looking at previous postings I am not the only one. I have successfully patched many games in the past, so am by no means a newbie. When I apply this one, either using applyppf (dos) or ppfomatic, it seems to work - no errors or messages saying the bin file is different from that for which the .ppf was created come up. I burn the game using CDR-Win as usual on TDK disks at 1x, but the game hangs on the blank PSX screem.

The only problem I have ever had in the past was with Medievil when a patch was first found which was applied using a hex editor. Those of you who have been around a while may recall that there was an issue that some people could get it to work but others couldn't, and it turned otu to be down to the #####-sum not being correct in the modified code. Some burnewrs would correct the #####sum - leading to a working game, whereas others would not. Could this be something similar ?

Any help in getting this to work would be appreciated.
