is it possible to play copied dreamcast game,without a mod-chip,and with an ordinary 700mb disk?

i heard about a boot cd.
i downloaded a boot cd version:1.2
i burned it on a cd.
i tried it on my dream and it was asking for a dreamcast game...
i put a COPIED dreamcast game and it didn't worked!

(i read this from a site,you need to burn a boot cd,place it on your dream,when asking for a drem cd,insert a copied game)

but,somewhere,i read that you have to extract the file from the boot cd to your hard drive then,download some file from i don't know where
exchange cd file with the file from the boot cd and blablabla...

ok,if i want to make a copy of resident evil.
what i need?
which cd burner program? (blink....)
need to patch it?
need special file/cd/tool?

possible to copy resident evil:code veronica and play with it on my dreamcast without modchip

You don't have to read a hundred messages.

Use the search command for "MOD CHIP" or similar. You'll find probably a dozen or so messages in the past 3 months time where the same exact question has been asked and answered!!!!

Answer: NO MODCHIP REQUIRED!!! THE ONLY MODCHIP AVAILABLE FOR THE DREAMCAST IS FOR PLAYING JAPANESE/EURO GAMES ON USA MACHINES.
