Use diskspan instead of ultraarc (no merging = fast installation)

Here is diskspan Version (i used Setup.exe from "Far Cry 5 English-only_02.rar" attachment).
Compression method: None Install time: 10 minutes Conversion time: 10 minutes Result: 6xDVD5 + 1xCD To Change compression method, edit Batch file and replace "set COMPMETHD=0" with "set COMPMETHD=srep+lzma2" or whatever. |
works fine.
Can I use it in other games too? because the installation is really fast very good. |
you can just use the setup.exe/ico from what conversion your doing.
How to use CIU with DiskSpan? Use the Compiled Setup.exe+ Setup.ico + Records.ini (probably you must changed archive name inside Records.ini) alongside with diskspan compressor (use the one from Razor12911 or UCC from VollachR). Which you can get from this topic http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=99227 ( archive first post ) & just extract the folder _Tools, then you'll have diskspan you can use from any conversion posted here, just read the Help.txt for further info. |
Yes you can, only 3 things:
1. Make sure Setup is compatible with DiskSpan (for CIU it's at least Update 11) 2. You have to adjust DVD size in the batch file for first disc 3. Use Records.ini |

set DVDFIVE=4435mb set DVDNINE=7905mb set BLUERAY=23455mb is dependent on if there are redists included + size of Setup.exe / ico ? #3 records.ini will have to be edited after completion for correct file names ? |

All other sizes are 4470mb for DVD5 (you can change them too somewhere in batch file) Quote:

will it automatically add to it ( records.ini )?
