Good to know that Srep 3.9.2 doesnt work with this specific game files, at least for me its a usefull information. Maybe you can add a little note to it on your post if someone else tries to compress that game.

Thanks NexusIV !!!

Ok, K4miKaZe. thank you for your suggestion.

Is this a questionable choice? It is probable, however, this way, I got a smaller size than many other repack in circulation.

That was not the concept I wanted to emphasize, I do not understand in your post if you used a single method or a mask. Personally I consider it useless or ineffective to use a masked method, if in the different concatenated masks we use the same final compressor, the result will be identical, and the compression time is the same, decompression same thing.

I'll give you an example, a masked method like this:

(-mPippo/$deflate=Topolino+Pippo) it's the same thing to use this (-mTopolino+Pippo)

Structurally a compression mask I would use it like this:

(-mPaperino/$deflate=Topolino+Pippo) or (-mPippo/$deflate=Topolino+Paperino).

Now in all this I do not mean that you use a wrong method, or that you will have errors in compression or decompression, but underline how to best use the masks in FA.

Thank you for your support and test on the games, and say hello to me Mars.

Has lolz stdin support?

Dishonored 2 v1.77.5.0 (updated method)

Hi, here is a new method for this game, this time with better installation time and better ratio (it fits perfect in a bd25 disc). My idea was to not touch this game again in 1-2 weeks but DiCaPrIo gave me an idea yesterday to make it work with ztool.

Big Thanks DiCaPrIo, the c256m setting worked !!!

Code:

Title:          Dishonored 2
Version:        v1.77.5.0 (incl. all dlcs)

PC:              4 Cores 3.9GHz (up to 4.3GHz) + 8GB Ram + SSD

Ripped Files:    All foreign languages

Original Size:  53.6 GB
Compressed Size: 22.5 GB

Mask Method:    no compression on *.pck files
                binkpack on *.bk2 files
                pzlib:max:c256m+srep:m3f+lolz:d128:mc1023 on rest of files

Compress Time:  16 hours 15 minutes (58538.66 sec)
Install Time:    13 minutes

CRC Checked:    Yes

Note:
Important to set up c256m on ztool or it will not work, the compression time is
slow because it takes over 9 hours only with ztool.

Also removing the credits.bik will give you 700mb better output if you wish.

I did another little test with xtool setting up same chunksize and using latest zlib version from official page. Seems the ratio is a little bit better but is also much more faster. Have to try it with the full game, maybe in 1 week or 2.

@JustFun, if you wish you can delete my previous method or leave it but this is almost better except for the compression time.

Tip/Note:
You can rip also the foreign languages for better size but its not
easy. You need the modding tools for this 3 games, should be easy
to find in google. Just replace the voice files with 0 bytes files

@K4miKaZe nah mate I will let it stay, methods are pretty much different, and some people might prefer faster method.

Sure, i will move the installer later on a HDD (7200rpm) and will test it for you ;)
Should be ready in 4-5 hours (im compressing a game right now)

Edit:

@DiCaPrIo from HDD to HDD it tooks 17 minutes and 20-30 seconds. 4-5 minutes for binkpack, and 12-13 minutes for the rest of the data. Thats something like 25% slower then SSD but with so many data its normal. On a 5200/5400 rpm disk it should be probably slower.

@everyone When you post compression method, I would be very very thankful if you could write the game version too, because some people might be confused when looking at INDEX, obviously v1.0 will be smaller in size than for example v1.50, but some users dont know that and we will probably have some posts saying that the given compression size is not accurate and that it is bigger.
BTW, Wanna say thank you to everyone that it is contributing to this thread, its much appreciated!
