KaktoR 22-06-2017 05:58

Then you able to unpack them.

I've been trying to repack DMC : Devil may game it's built on unreal engine .upk
so what can i do to compress it does not have lz4 or zlib streams Please help
i packed it using srep+xz by (panker) it's 11,547 gb so after compression it's 8,314
is there a way to make smaller or there is not ??

Crynuvo 23-06-2017 03:40

Yes. The game is compressed using lzo, you might wanna build a lzo precompressor.

dead00 23-06-2017 13:31

great job, thanks for tutorial. can ask how i can get "recomp.exe" that you have used on the video, thank you.

Try to use this, unreal package decompressor

romulus_ut3 24-06-2017 03:48

Can something be done with the Mass Effect 3 DLC archives? They are packed using LZMA, *.sfar is the archive format.

I want to put the extracted assets back to the original *.sfar format, but I'd like to maintain the original Checksum.

EzzEldin16 24-06-2017 08:17

Sorry another question for Razor12911 and 78372 I have a lzo pre-compressor what do you razor mean by building an lzo pre-compressor ?
and 78372 if i unpacked every .upk file and packed them again is that going to give better compression or even the files are going to work with the game ?
Sorry to bother Good day

78372 24-06-2017 08:25

If you know how to unpack and pack it again, just use Injector maker to keep the crc, and your game should work as normal.
And compression, well you need to check that yourself, I have no idea, but there are possibilities to improve compression.

EzzEldin16 24-06-2017 09:02

I know how to unpack it and pack it again i will check compression and thank you for your reply Good-Day

FitGirl 24-06-2017 16:50

Haha, a video devoted to finding out how ~ I compressed ACU ;)
Are other RLT guys that bad, they can't figure it out by themselves and they should ask you? Hmmm.

Still, this is a good video for those, who want to knows how complex repacks are done.

doofoo24 24-06-2017 17:37

repack are pointless specially yours using a lot of ssd write cycles and very very slow btw storage is very cheap today :D
i don't use pack/unpack only direct compression like pzlib/srep/zstd/...

78372 24-06-2017 20:39

@Fitgirl I prefer speed rather than size. I can remember one of your repack, Mafia II, which took hours and hours to install. I don't know what you did with that, but I again repacked that, and found it's size is 0.25gb bigger than yours, but takes only a couple of minutes to install. So I always use direct compression instead of pack & unpack

Gupta 24-06-2017 21:29

her repacks are best to store, that's why I first download the original release from groups, install them and then download her repack to store them as archives

Then you're seriously Insane PrinceGupta2000. you're downloading the same game twice And you install the iso one and delete it and then store the repacked one ? However you can repack the game at your own ?

got bored of it,that Bitch always wins

78372 24-06-2017 22:30

If I have the original release, I myself repack it for storing. And when you want to store, just download the repacked one because you can install it and also store it

Gupta 24-06-2017 22:36

$H!: takes ages to install

78372 24-06-2017 22:38

Huh, so you store the repack for what? To install it again when required, isn't it?

Uh, not really. The video is just for the last point you mentioned but apart from that. And it's not RLT. It's these other repack teams, -_- the gap you make in terms of repack sizes is too much, just made this tutorial to ease up the competition (I like to see feuds and tensions between repack teams) otherwise all other repack teams should just retire judging from the amount of things they miss when trying to repack. I mean anybody can apply srep and lzma, there is nothing special in that, the other things that are additionally added is what makes it unique.

FitGirl 25-06-2017 08:47

Yeah, good competition would be nice.

btw, did you try your tool on large resources? I mean like 15 GB resource pack with, say 300k of files?

I fail to see why we would depend on your methods for ACU which is probably 3X slower than the one we already have from months. Additionaly, I had ACU packed with those medieval methods in July 2015 in my old dual core PC. But that's the past, present is faster.

Razor12911's being helpful to teach these kind of methods in repacking which 99% of repackers miss, plus his Injector Maker makes things so easy if the user cant do things on his own.

RamiroCruzo 25-06-2017 15:30

Nice tut bro ^O^ Next time use h.265 XD It kills to download this big thingy, though they are worth it

Am sorry, can we talk to the guy who actually writes reply instead of you just forwarding these? As far as I remember, dual core PC was someone else's specs ;)

I honestly have used this tool 3 times, all test subjects were small.
There are ways to improve speed however, I haven't tried them considering the time it tool to make it and facts like I can't currently update the tool AFK

I could use h265... or you could climb up a cell tower and download from there :v, jokes... :p

I remember that the size of your ACU repack was pretty big, you 100% didn't do anything with LZO. And why is that?

Oh I am pretty sure you have remembered something totally wrong, because 1) We haven't done any ACU repack yet and 2) We "100%" did a thing with LZO in ACU.

Yep, I think you did ACS. Yet, why didn't you "did a thing" with LZO in ACS?

ACS is a very old repack, we didn't update it yet, if you want to see that "thing", you probably wanna see Rainbow Six Siege but even then R6S by us is an old repack with some of old methods, we will replace it later.
