works 100% fine here, make sure that ultraarc.ini is set correctly.

Use the file below, rename to ini, then just choose source & output, compile.

I've given him a Month's holiday .... he has had plenty of warnings and the time off should give him time to brush up on the Forum Rules. ;)

New update that came out changes things, namely size !!

Better be prepared for an exhausting conversion process.... & LOTS of TIME !!!
173 GB, 615,288 Files, 153 Folders

But that 50 GB file is the same (in size)?

I have done the hybrid conversion so far, just test some other things out atm. Will post it in the next hour.

PS: Compressing that one file has taken 6 hours. So be prepared. I guess it 5 or 6xDVD5 in the end (for the version without that thousands of video files).

GTX590 25-12-2016 11:24

That is due to 4k Videos included in the latest version of the game:eek:

KaktoR 25-12-2016 11:28

In what folder are those video files?

{app}\Videos?

That file is now 52.6GB

Videos are in {app}\game\videos > 12.2GB

The update with all the NEW videos are in {app}\episodes 105GB but don't have any normal video extension, just file. Will have to see just how compressable they are.

KaktoR 25-12-2016 12:00

Hmm, i have no game folder inside {app}.

So they moved the videos folder to {app}\game?

Wtf.

prudislav 26-12-2016 01:55

its the way they made the tv show episodes working offline (they are normally streamed from servers) ... they moved the gamefolder to {app}/game and these offlinizied TV show eps to {app}/episodes

Notes:
This Version of Quantum Break includes all live-action episodes and plays them just like the
original but without any network activity, so you can enjoy the full story without the need
to stream the movies directly from microsoft servers with this version.

Technical notes:
The game isn't just able to play the live-action movies from local storage
without any modification, it actually tries to do exactly that. But the developer/publisher
decided not to include the necessary BINK2 videos in the installation.
So it falls back to online streaming.
Unfortunately the online videos have an intirely different format, so they can't just be
downloaded and put into the game folder. It is also not possible to convert them to BINK2
because the encoder is not freely available.
The way Quantum Break complete edition works is that it intercepts the connection to the
xbox live servers and copies the requested streaming fragments directly from disk to memory.
We decided to include the 1080p high-bitrate versions of the videos of the video files as that
is the most common resolution among gamers.

Stveboss 17-03-2019 16:03

Was wondering if deleted all the videos this will still work as just short of 12gb on my system are the video files, and theres 272 of them in folder ??

pakrat2k2 17-03-2019 20:16

^^ read 1 post above yours, you cant just go deleting stuff to make conversion smaller, most times ( not all ) it breaks the game.

Stveboss 18-03-2019 07:08

Well tried the game play without the videos and still plays fine so not a problem there. Tried do conversion and it went up to 17 hours+ for part 1 and froze out so give up with it, also did the Crackdown 3 game which windows 10 and that works fine, also Assassins creed Odyssey from 69gb install down to 62.6gb and they work fine.
