Advanced Setup Creator

2 Attachment(s)
This program creates installation. It's main focus is design although it does all the other things that other installer creators do which is to install a program.
Advanced Setup Creator is powered by FireMonkey developed by Embarcadero which enables High-Definition graphics even on low performanced computers.
This program is created with Delphi XE8 from RAD Studio.
This is a freeware.

Lol, sorry guys, I can't proceed with the project any further, for now. I'll try to release v0.0.2 of ASC today or tomorrow but that's it, I have deadlines that I didn't even know about. (Varsity assignments). I got many of the damn deadlines so, yea project must be suspended although it just started.
Will be back after the semester is over or when I have free time.:(

thanks for v0.0.2 will test it out

Razor12911 10-07-2015 13:55

Sure try it out, keep in mind that it is far from being perfect. It doesn't not even ask for next disk, or even show cancel dialog. So yea, anyways, its an alpha version.

bakutrak 22-07-2015 06:15

is it can repack game files ? or just installer creator ?

Razor12911 24-07-2015 03:17

It just creates installers, it does decompression of the files you provided.

bastien360 03-08-2015 14:24

Amsal 06-08-2015 04:13

If possible can you please release the beta of asc when 1 template is completed then next beta when 2 template is completed and then next beta when 3 template is completed and so on

And razor12911, it will be thankful to you that if you can also create component (language) option in asc and also make a template of this and one more thing, also make a option for choose only one language in installer creator menu.

and can you also add md5 or sha-1 checksum

Hmm, I bet some of you guys did not expect to see something like this, well at least as an installer.
This template will be available in the beta, only problem, the release date is postponed (blame the bugs).

Introducing an Acer laptop that has the new Windows 10 installed that installs programs.

The idea came to light this morning, I asked myself, I created Windows Phone Installer, why not create Windows 10 installer, then that came to life. It is not finished as yet but it will be.

Forgot this one. The installation page. Shows a circular progress bar.

toto621 08-08-2015 05:55

Well i'm really not a fan of windows 10 style (i was not on win8 too) but any news about ASC is good to read :)

I'm really impatient to test ASC and try to make my own template/style with it :D

Razor12911 08-08-2015 06:31

I don't like it either, just using it because it utilise almost all the features in ASC, that way, it makes it very easy for me to detect bugs.

Razor12911 10-08-2015 16:21

New version

Hi guys, unfortunately, All setup files created wih ASC will show copyright messages at startup.
I know nobody likes those messages but at least that way, people won't put their name on an installer that was made with my program.
It took nearly a year for the program to be created which is hardwork and I surely deserve the credit and it is a free program.
There is only one template because I have been changing project types with encryption that ended up messing up the other templates and made them useless, the only way to recover is to remake the template and I am too tired for that.
This is the last release maybe in a month or two, I got assignments to do and I have to prepare for an examination, only use my spare time to update the program.
Will have to make a separate UltraARC for ASC. This will do the same job as the one for IC, CI, CIU and the other scripts but the records.ini will be part of setup.exe.
Enjoy the program.

pakrat2k2 10-08-2015 21:04

Title of topic has been changed as requested.

Simple amazing what you have done with this all from scratch. Copyright Info SHOULD be locked within, making it impossible to be removed, without having the source code.
Template in first post looks fantastic & only imagination needs to be used for further templates or what can be created with it.

Thanks again for all that you have done for us here.

Morgrel 12-08-2015 07:19

Hi, just trying this installer creator and i have noticed that it has component tab.
It's possible to do collection conversion with this installer creator or it's not possible yet?

toto621 12-08-2015 07:47

About the copyright, it depend how it is implemented. If it's a big self glorifying stuff each time you press next (which I highly doubt knowing razor) I don't think it will be appreciated :p

I assume you think like an "about" button, next to "minimize" one for example with information about ASC and it's author and perhaps a link to it's official thread. In that case no problem at all of course :)

The problem is where am I going to put the button for copyright because if I just add a button for copyright, user comes, then removes the button. I get what you're saying but there isn't any other place where I can put it unless if you can suggest one.

toto621 13-08-2015 12:41

@Razor:
Simply render the "about" button mandatory for each template. Allow us to customize it's form, font and placement but not it's text content and it will be ok for everyone :)

Razor12911 13-08-2015 16:10

Problem, what you're suggesting can be edited or removed.

Honestly I think no matter what you try it could be edited or removed so why not made something non-invasive for respectful users.

If you try to make something too invasive then most of people will try (and most probably succeed) to edit it or simply do not use ASC.

I understand you want credits for your work but if nearly nobody use it what's the point...

cartemem 13-08-2015 17:00

you can make free version of asc with copyright/ads
and Paid asc version with no copyright

ASC should have your details on it Razor but not the conversion created with ASC. I would have to agree with toto when he says people may not use ASC if the created installer has advertising on it.

This has already been discussed, the main problem with making a 'Paid' version is someone will just release the paid version to another site. So the paid version will just get shared more times than people download the Free version.
I'm all for Razor making money from his program but there has to be another way to do it instead of releasing 2 versions.

Razor12911 14-08-2015 05:12

Alright, I'll remove the credits.

Windows 8/8.1 users, can you please run this on your computers.
Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 10 users can test it too, but main priority operating system to test on is Windows 8/8.1.

Use Task Manager to close setup.
