I can make a Tutorial for External Compression in the next days. Anybody want a Tutorial for making .bmp/.png Pictures out of .jpg Files too? If yes I can do it ONLY for Gimp! Otherwise you can do it for yourself, cause this it not really a theme for IC.

If I made a Tutorial for external Compression than only for how to begin and set the settings in IC, like it for v2.2 to work. An Gimp Tutorial I let out, because there a 1000 Gimp Tutorials on Internet. If you change a lot for Extern Compress settings I will wait. But everything works fine in v2.2 (for external Compress) so theres no Reason to change anything.

PS: I don't like bugs too. But a Programmer from Skyrim sad it one Time: "If you want to Patch the Program, no Problem. But there will be bugs on another side of the Program Code! There will always be bugs!!"

Maby a Bug. Change the Positions of Buttons and be sure they don't overlay each other!

video tutorial please .........

I will make no Video Tutorial, don't have the Tools for it. And not really a clue how to do.
If anyone can/will do it, say to me, so we can Upload it here. Every help is desired, to make a easy Program much easier for everyone. :)

Having a problem with installer creator. I created Thief 4xDVD 5 . While installing on the last disc it says (cannot find uninstall/icon.ico) please help

Insert first DVD should help.

it does work if i put the fisrt disc. but the problem is it doesnt ask me to insert disk 1. it just throws out an error. isnt there any way to put the uninstall file on the last disc.

This seems to be Bug in Version 2.3.2 when you use Extern Compression. I've tried my Dawn of War II Collection with 2.3.2 and got the same bug. Made with v2.3.1 again the bug was gone. I have not try out v. 2.3.3 till now. With Internal Compression you will have no Problems, but the Game (Thief 4) won't fit on 4 DVD 5.

It's not a bug, you have to put your Icon.ico on all DVDs.

Hi all, as I am indeed already veteran in the forum, but still waiting for input from those who spend time conversions. I've decided that now I want to make my contributions , I never interested to know the methods and processes of conversion , but it's time to stop being a leech and support the forum with my work. I want to learn this method of intaller creator , but I have no slightest idea of the process , I'm a graphic designer in photoshop , illustrator , corel etc. , so I can bring good ideas to conversions of time do I have little, but something destine for this. I need your help in conversion tutorials for INSTALLER CREATOR , I will be tiring while I go about taking experience and domino fine. Please with me. soon as you master it perfectly and be with my spam contributions conversions games. thanks guys .

1 - Media External is the part where you add in external archives created using compression softwares like FreeArc, 7zip, WinRAR etc, To add in the files there, you can use in.
like this :
Method : The Archive format used, (arc,7z,rar)
Source : Name of the Compressed Archive (setup.bin. setup.cab..)
Example syntax = {src}\Setup-1.bin | The src represents the source where the installer exe file resides and the archives must be there also.
Output : The out put folder, It's normally {app}\ If you want to extract the archive inside a specific game folder then use {app}\foldername\
And the res, Just make sure you select the precomp versions right, and for compression you can use this tool here, it's based on arc and the best with a gui to set commands and options : Here

2. Windows Operating System Version Numbers.
3. About the reg files, you might have to check them at Here in case if you don't know it, or else you can check on the windows registry manually and export the required keys to a reg files and add the values accordingly to the installer. :)

You might try a sfx module if not.
 

May be possible, Try putting the bat file into a SFX using winrar, 7z or your preferred archive method and try launching it during the installation process.
Like Hide it in the Redist or components Sessions or try around were you can put it and give that a run.
Or you could also plan to execute the exe file which will then run the .bat file ( I assume, you already know how to do that. )
