Sorry i am really newbie on this, but looking the thread post by pakrat2k2 in setup ini you have to change this
Code:

Launch3BeforeInstall=1
for this
Code:

Launch3BeforeInstall=0
then it would install fdrom dvd2 the redist.

I tested whitout the registry values and works. Besides to be honest I dont know how to put the registry values and I read that if you mess whit the registry values on the installer script the conversion will not work.

maxthon 07-02-2013 16:09

please, my conversion error Source: Include\precomp042.exe does not exist

To make it work from 1DVD5 the only thing you had to do is put compresion=lzma2/ultra64 on the installerScript.iss then move redist to dvd1. in the setup.ini make sure that the option in launcher setting are this way:

Launch3BeforeInstall=1

on the 3 launcher commands.

Final size on my tested installer 3,6GB, Compile time: 30 to 40 minutes, installation time: 10 minutes.

use proper values & it will work just fine.. add these IF you want to ISS script.

Code:

Nice work mate!
I took the liberty to add a second desktop icon for the launcher, as it's the only way to change audio/video settings as there are not available in game.
So, I attach my little moddification.

hi, these two errors occurred in the installation, these errors are at the beginning of the installation, can not continue
The first error is in Russian, strange because I installed in english.

pakrat2k2 08-02-2013 08:43

type out what the error says, image too small to read

mikey26 08-02-2013 11:06

with srep and freearc i got my conversion down to 2.90 gb

pakrat2k2 08-02-2013 11:26

just using conversion & changing compression to lzma2/ultra will have it ~3.5GB still lots of room to fit on dvd5. full game is only 5.9GB.

I really don't know what to tell you. I tested several times and works fine.

Thanks for your dedication spawniectes. If its not to much to ask, could you please elaborate a little more?

Kind regards and thanks in advance :)

Thanks bro,good job.
But the icon name became very long and doubled:

"Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed - Launcher"
I have deleted :
"Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed" and leaved "- Launcher" like this..

MyExecutableIconName2=- Launcher
MyExecutableName2=Launcher.exe
MyExecutablePath2=

The new launcher icon name would be like this:"Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed- Launcher"

It's not a major error but it's just to try to be perfect..as I pretend.;)

Open installerScript.iss

under the [setup] sequence find this:
Code:

Compression=none
change it for this
Code:

Compression=lzma2/ultra64
move redist folder to dvd1
open setup.ini and make sure that the launcher settings at the end of the file look like this:
Code:

InstallRedist=1

Launch1=DirectX
Launch164=0
Launch1BeforeInstall=1
LaunchCom1={src}\Redist\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe
LaunchArg1=/silent

Launch2=Visual C++ 2010  Sp1 x86
Launch264=0
Launch2BeforeInstall=1
LaunchCom2={src}\Redist\vcredist_x86_vs2010sp1.exe
LaunchArg2=/S

Launch3=.NET Framework 4.0
Launch364=0
Launch3BeforeInstall=1
LaunchCom3={src}\Redist\dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe
LaunchArg3=/q /norestart

elbubi 09-02-2013 04:53

Thanks once again Spawn! Will test it tonight and report back. Cheers!

Actually those last modifications are not needed.
Those just changes if the redist files are installed BEFORE or AFTER the main installation, nothing more.

Joe Forster/STA 09-02-2013 05:55

The Russian error message says "Not enough memory to unpack archives. Try closing, if possible, all running programs and restart installer." (Hey, I'm actually starting to understand Russian or what? :p)

elbubi 09-02-2013 06:19

Tested and working 100% under w7x64! :)

Removed foreign sound languages and ended up with 3.1GB (using lzma2\ultra64).

Thanks once again spawn for your time and support! Thanks to everyone else who contributed to this requested conversion also!

PD: Gracias de nuevo capo!

alias-as 11-02-2013 01:47

can you explain how you do it? it takes less time to install though..

pakrat2k2 11-02-2013 18:06

look at Compression=none in ISS script... using INNO rather then freearc, -m3 is comparable to zip1 -> zip9 will need to test to find out OR open up ISS script & click on help and READ the built-in documentation.

shellane 12-02-2013 04:11

Help Pls Im new, i need help. what do i do to compile or click to follow stage 5

5. Compile (aprox. 5 minutes)

Brazilica 12-02-2013 04:26

@shellane
Compile this file: "InstallerScript.iss". First you need to install isetup-5.5.3-unicode and Inno Script Studio. Then double click on InstallerScript.iss, change your game location and press this button.

Can you post a pic?.

I will take a look, I tested the installation part but don't uninstall the game. LOL

Xaelin 19-02-2013 09:06

Thanks works everything.

Just want to report insignificant things.

1-) I cant install framework silent mod with "/q /norestart" tag. I did it with "/passive /norestart" tag in setup.ini

2-) When use installer i cant view turkish "ü" character and "ş" big viewing.

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/5913/trchar.png

Apart from these;

I used compression method lzma2/ultra64 and removed foreign language. Fit in 1xDVD5 (3.29 GB)

http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/2231/sizeg.png

Thanks for conversion.

P.S.: Sorry for my broken english :(

senseman 19-02-2013 09:30

use this /q /norestart....delete font.tff in setub.cab or new font or use english installer
(font desteklemiyor ondan kaynaklı bir sorun)

Xaelin 19-02-2013 13:56

@senseman

fixed font. but still cant install framework quiet mode. opening repair or uninstall screen. but its not problem. running with /passive . interesing :) . very thanks mate.
